2468 Diet
The 2468 diet is an extreme diet so you should really think if it is worth it. The diet tells you to consume 200 calories the first day, 400 the second, 600 on the third and 800 on the fourth day. This cycle then continues. The positive side of the 2468 diet is that it is very effective to make you lose weight. Your calorie intake is very low and since it varies everyday your body does not know how many calories to burn and burns more than your intake. You should not be on the 2468 diet for too long as you body tissues start getting broken down to give energy. If carried on for too long it may lead to death.
3 Day Diet
The 3 Day Diet as the name suggests can only be followed for three days at a stretch. The reason is simple. Your calorie intake is so low when you follow the diet that the body can’t sustain itself for too long. When you are on the 3 Day Diet you are not allowed to eat any fatty foods. Your diet mostly consists of fruit juices and high protein foods. You lose weight when you follow the 3 Day Diet because your calorie intake is so low that your body burns the excess fat in your body. Also a major portion of your weight loss in the 3 Day Diet is due to water loss.
7 day Diet
The 7 Day Diet is another popular fast weight loss diet. The diet focuses on a different group of foods each day. On the first day you eat fruits and fruit juices except banana. On the second you just eat vegetables. The third day is a combination of the first two (i.e. eat fruits and vegetables). On the fourth day you have bananas and whole milk. The last 3 days are the same and the 7 Day Diet lets you eat about 4 steaks a day and lots of green vegetables. As you can see the 7 Day Diet is not a balanced diet. Your body does not get all the nutrients it needs but it does lead to weight loss.
