The Best Diabetes Diets for My Parents
When for the first time, my father was diagnosed having diabetes, I can still remember his pale face. He loved to eat food, he enjoyed variety of dishes, and now, after his diagnosis, it seems that his diet will be going to bland for life. He was so depressed. Fortunately, this is not the true story. Basically diabetic diet means diet without excessive sugar or fats. In fact, it is an ideal diet for obese people (even without having diabetes) too.

Hard to believe but now many doctors even affirmed that diabetes can be managed by lifestyle management along with healthy diet. Interestingly, diabetic diet does not necessarily mean to be boring. Yes, it can be tasty too. On the other hand, it can help you to become more energized and healthier too. There are many people around the globe find that diabetic diet not only helps them to manage their diabetes, but also make them more energized than before.
Diabetic Diet Plan
People suffering from diabetes must have a complete balanced diet with rich supply of essential nutrients. This is why they need a healthy diet plan at the first place. The diet plan may comprise of healthy food pyramid or any other form of individual selection. Now here is a quick diet chart that I used for my dad. Check it out, consult your doc, if it works for you as well.
Skipping breakfast habit is not good, especially in the hope of managing your disease, you are basically welcoming it into your life, when you are desperately avoiding breakfast. Rather using cholesterol lowering oatmeal diet with fruits might offer great benefit. Don’t follow the myths that having nuts will make you fattier. But a regular intake of almond and walnut can actually make you fit and energized.
Don’t eat egg yolks, but certainly you can eat egg whites. Fat free milk and yogurt can be good dessert for you. Raw onion and garlic can bring miracle to your life. In fact, I personally observed the benefits for my father. Adding flax seed and fenugreek have no other better alternative for sure. Hey, did I mention already that you need to drink plenty of water throughout the day? Green vegetables, fruits and whole cereals are essential. Enjoy life!
